BADU Community C.I.C is a black-led non-profit organisation that drives social change by using sport and mentoring as tools to empower, educate and uplift young people and their families in the local community.
Research tells us that 4 in 10 people in the UK will not be able to afford the holiday season this year. The current cost of living crisis has exacerbated this for our community, worsening already existing systemic inequalities. Every year during the festive season BADU runs "That Moment When”, this initiative provides vital holiday hampers and support to those families in our community who are experiencing challenging circumstances during this time of year. Financial pressure, food and fuel poverty and social inequalities can make providing for the holiday period impossible for some of our families.
Whilst we recognise that the festive season is a special time for many families, it can also be a struggle for others in our community. This year BADU are providing holiday hampers to 350 families, including festive
foods and presents for the whole family.
"Join us in supporting families who are impacted most by the cost of living crisis:
making the festive season special for all."
