Norwich City FC and Norwegian international midfielder, Alexander Tettey, joined Badu as a mentor in 2020. Like with many of our partners and mentors, Tettey instantly related to Badu’s values and mission with his own personal experience of total dedication to his craft.
Born in Ghana and later moving to Norway at 13 years old, Tettey’s journey epitomises commitment, consistency and self-belief He believes that those three principles combined is the key to success; whether it is on the pitch, on the court or in the classroom, these qualities will form the basic foundation to a fun and fulfilling career.
Since the collaboration with Badu began, Tettey has become another incredible resource for our students to leverage. He has spent a significant amount of time sharing his knowledge and experience of the football industry to mentor some of Badu’s aspiring under 20 players on how to progress to the next level and advice on becoming an elite athlete. “Mentoring the students at Badu has been a joy. If sharing my personal experience as a footballer can help nurture the next generation in a positive way, then that is a win for me. Badu’s students are incredibly bright, dedicated and wise beyond their years.
Martin Tyler is a very familiar voice because of his long career in football commentary on television, initially with ITV and for the last three decades with Sky Sports. He also coaches in non-League football and is currently the assistant manager at Woking FC in the National League.
Brentford FC midfielder Emiliano Marcondes is our newest patron. The Danish native worked his way through the ranks in Denmark as a professional before joining Brentford in 2018, where he has begun to flourish.
